As summer comes to a close and children go back to school, I thought it’d be fun to tour a charming Bahamas cottage. I’m not ready to let go of summer just yet – it’s my favorite season of the year. I think you’ll enjoy today’s pretty home with an ideal location to enjoy the most that island life has to offer.
Step inside and you’ll find fresh white paneled walls and vaulted ceilings. Neutral furnishings create a cozy aura for relaxing after a day at the beach.

Skylights welcome island sunlight into the Bahamas cottage with its simple furnishings. A whimsical poster adds a shot of color in the dining space.

A simple galley kitchen lines one wall of the cottage. Personally I’d like to see a bit more warmth in this area, but it has good bones.

Linen shades block the sun when the weather gets hot and provide privacy at night. Baskets at the door can collect shoes and keep them out of sight.

A pair of beds look so plump and comfy! An overhead ceiling fan keeps the island breezes flowing at night.

White paneled walls and ceiling continue on into the bathroom. A wooden double vanity adds a touch of warmth to the space.

This Bahamas cottage is called “Fort Point” as evidenced by the font near the front door.

The expansive porch enjoys magnificent views of the water. My family is currently planning a trip somewhere tropical for early 2019 and I would love to find a place with a view like this! We’re thinking Puerto Rico, but are open to suggestions if you have a vacation place you love.
If you don’t feel like hitting the beach, you can enjoy the refreshing pool.
