Have I got a special treat for your eyes! Today’s charming home tour mixes an exotic, eclectic vibe with vintage yet traditional elements for a truly unique home. Meg’s house at Oliver and Rust is one that makes me drink in each photo not once, not twice, but several times! Her home decor is artfully blended and not like any other you’ll find in the blogosphere. What I love about her style is that it’s traditional in nature … but then she interjects an unexpected design twist that makes you take a second look. I absolutely adore her charming eclectic vintage home so let’s get started with the tour!
The eye candy begins right as you step onto Meg’s stylish front porch.
The color scheme here is continued throughout her eclectic vintage home.
As you step through the foyer, your eyes land on this gorgeous cabinet.
Meg’s charming home is filled with many beautiful finds such as this.
In Meg’s living room, you see that she continued the porch’s color scheme.
A comfy couch pairs with pillows in varying shades of green.
On the other side of the living room near the fireplace, Meg incorporates a rustic cart as a coffee table.
Gorgeous green bottles add a smooth, cool finish to the natural textures in the room.
Meg’s innovative style continues into her dining room.
Beautiful doors flank a green sideboard, providing architectural interest.
On the other end of the room is an industrial style shelf packed with white ironstone and other goodies.
Did you notice that spectacular vintage floor lamp? I truly have house envy right now!
At first glance, Meg’s kitchen is quite traditional, but look closely.
You’ll see that she’s infused her personality throughout the room, as evidenced by her choice of rug.
Instead of the traditional kitchen island, Meg has paired a stunning barrel with an IKEA cart makeover.
Honestly, I wish I lived near Meg so she could walk me through her home and tell me all the stories of her various vintage pieces. I’d also like to pick her brain to discover her thought process on her decorating choices. She has such a natural gift!
More vintage collections can be seen in the upstairs hallway.
I had to include this picture because I’m totally crushing on the green barn light fixture!
This is a bathroom worthy of lounging for hours!
Touches of elegance are paired with rustic items like the bucket holding the toilet paper.
Meg lends her artistic eye when arranging items on the shelves. Perfect!
Meg’s bedroom continues the artful theme of her eclectic vintage home.
Touches of green add color to natural elements, and a bit of black is included as well.
Back outside, there’s plenty more eye candy in this outdoor living space.
If you’re as intrigued by Meg’s eclectic vintage home as I am, you’re just going to have to follow her blog, Oliver and Rust.
She has an Etsy shop and sells many types of items that you’ve just seen in her home, too!
