What do you do when one size doesn't fit all? For clients—one very tall, the other not so much—Etienne Coffinier and Ed Ku of Coffinier Ku Design craft custom furniture pieces that manage to serve the needs of both.

The sofa, which is upholstered in a Pierre Frey fabric, was custom designed to accomodate a need for different seat depths and arm heights. The taller client sits on the left, and the shorter one on the right, and both are comfortable. The curved cocktail table of cerused oak, raised up on a Plexi-Craft acrylic base, is another custom piece. It was created specifically to solve the problem of the tall client frequently bumping his shins into the sharp edges of more conventional tables. Photos: Michel Arnaud.

The rug is by Stark, the armchair by Donghia is upholstered in a Cowtan & Tout fabric, the glass lamps are by Hinson, and the end table is an Eero Saarinen design.
