Today I have another easy DIY project for you. One thing I like about do-it-yourself projects is that you can customize them and create a one-of-a-kind look. Or sometimes when you can’t find what you’re looking for at the store, you can just make it yourself. Today I’m sharing how to make DIY Pink Frosted Votive Candle Holders. Yours don’t have to be pink … you could make them any color you like to go with your decor.
Since it’s close to Valentine’s Day, I decided to make these frosted votives pink.
You’ll need Epsom salt, pink food coloring, 4 small tumblers, and Mod Podge.
I found my tumblers at Walmart for under $3 for the set.
Add pink food coloring to a bowl of Epsom salts.
I mixed way more than I needed, but I’d rather have too much than not enough.
Using a foam brush, apply Mod Podge to the outside of your tumbler.
You don’t need to apply the glue to the bottom of the glass.
Using the spoon, sprinkle the tinted Epsom salts onto the glass.
Keep turning the glass until it’s covered. Shake off any excess and let dry.
Tuck a small votive or tea light candle inside the glass.
I used the orange scented tea lights I made for a floating candle centerpiece.
Light your candles and arrange them however you like.
I lined mine on top of doilies on my restaurant ware platter.
Simple and pretty.
If you don’t want to mess with candles, you can always use flameless tea lights.
