On Thursday, September 6, The Rug Company and GoodWeave will be hosting a benefit raffle to support GoodWeave’s work to end child labor and increase educational opportunities in weaving communities. One lucky raffle entrant will win Chiesa, a colorful 8×10 rug inspired by the stunning tiled floor of a Sicilian church. Certified child-labor-free and designed by The Rug Company’s co-founder, Suzanne Sharp, the rug is hand knotted in Nepal from Tibetan wool and is valued at over $8,000. Raffle tickets cost $25 each, and for every $100 donated, you'll receive one ticket for free. The event will be held at The Rug Company’s Soho showroom from 6 – 8 pm, with the raffle winner being drawn at 7 pm. You do not need to be present at the event to win, and the winner will be contacted by email and/or phone call. Shipping only within the contiguous US is included. During the event, guests will hear from several designers as well as GoodWeave’s CEO, Nina Smith. Click here to enter the raffle or to make a donation.
