You won’t believe this amazing factory built farmhouse that we’re touring today. This charming home is a survivor of Hurricane Sandy; once condemned and now beautifully rebuilt to reflect a pleasing combination of coastal and farmhouse style. You can find this beauty over at Houzz, along with other factory built homes by Bensonwood. (All Photos by Bensonwood.)

In my little world, a farmhouse isn’t a farmhouse without a porch. This one has a modern vibe with cable ropes in lieu of wooden balusters. Adirondack chairs beckon you to set a spell with a glass of lemonade. Sailboats carved into light blue shutters add a quaint element.
Step inside and you’re greeted with modern farmhouse style. Windows are left unadorned to let all that beautiful sunshine in. Note the detailing of the front door and paneled closet door. A pair of blue club chairs hint at the nearby ocean.
A chunky coffee table creates surface area for playing board games or looking at over-sized picture books.
Neutral tones provide a classic backdrop in the living room which is cool and comfortable with accents of blue. A steamer trunk serves as an end table but provides additional storage at the same time.
The kitchen in our factory built farmhouse is clean and bright with simple lines, white cabinets, and wood floors. Mid-century modern stools continue the marriage of farmhouse and modern styling.
A trio of pendant lights illuminate the simple yet elegant farmhouse table. Slip-covered dining chairs lend a touch of softness.
A four-poster bed commands attention in the master bedroom, with a sliding barn door visible in the background.
An under-the eaves bedroom gets a shot of color with a red wall. A platform bed near the window gives the illusion of sleeping under the stars when night descends.
In addition to a welcoming front porch, a claw foot tub is another icon when it comes to true farmhouse style. A bit of rusticity is found in the rough-hewn, built-in cabinet.
