Hubby and I keep going back and forth. Should we move, or should we add onto the house and do some renovations? The thought of doing either stresses me out a bit. Sharing a home tour each Sunday here on the blog fills me with inspiration on ways to improve our house. For me, it’s a creative process that I enjoy and it leaves me feeling productive. I found new inspiration with today’s tour that features a Hudson Valley house renovated by Crisp Architects. The home is filled with all the details you expect to see in a charming older home.

The kitchen is surprisingly bright and airy. This is my dream kitchen. Plenty of white, yet it’s off-set with warm wood tones so it’s not cold and clinical. Fun color adds plenty of interest and cute pendant lights finish it all off.
An industrial-style range is perfect for cooking a gourmet meal, which I love to do. Yes, I could definitely live in this Hudson Valley House.
The living room showcases rustic charm with a real stone fireplace. Warm hues pair with cool blues to give this room a cozy and comfortable vibe.
Based on the cute little barnyard rug, I’m guessing that this is a playroom of sorts for the children.
The entryway reveals the history of the home with its architectural detailing and wide plank floors. I’m in love with the trim work on the stair wall and need to find out if hubby can replicate it. Of course, with my newfound power tool skills, maybe I can help.
The living room isn’t shy of architectural details, either. Victorian-style trim graces the windows and fireplace mantel. This room pairs a bit of elegance with its beautiful time-worn features.
Cool blues make a serene statement in the master bedroom, while rich wood furniture adds warmth and depth.
On the other side of the bedroom is this to-die-for fireplace! I told hubby that if we do add on or renovate, I want a fireplace in our bedroom. I’m certain it won’t be as grand as this one, but a girl can dream!
The master bathroom features a claw foot tub centered under an expansive window. A walk-in shower is also included in this stunning bathroom.
Gorgeous house, isn’t it?
Would you believe this is the same house before renovation? What a difference!
There’s much more to see in this Hudson Valley House over at Houzz! You won’t be disappointed.
