About a block north of President Obama’s home in Chicago, George Washington Maher's Magerstadt House is a stunning example of classic prairie style. Affectionately known as “Poppy” thanks to rows of stained glass windows featuring the flower, the mansion features six bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, a breathtaking foyer and three fireplaces.
For her well-traveled art-collecting clients, designer Jen Talbot chose to blend their eclectic style with the impressive pedigree of the home, creating modern spaces that integrate seamlessly with the history of the building.
